In the digital world that we are living in, iHerd app offers a solution that will keep your livestock records at your fingertips. It will be available for web and mobile application (iOS and Android). The app will not only store but will also analyse your data giving you essential production and financial analytical reports to assist in day to day decision making.

We understand that Network is a problem in our country, Botswana that is why iHerd gives you and your hired help an allowance to enter livestock records on your device while you are offline. Data will instantly and seamlessly be transferred to and available on you and all your other registered app users dashboard once you are online. That means you can enter records while working in the field with no network service, rest assured they will update once you are back online.

With iHerd app you can keep records of cattle and small stock (goats and sheep). You can easily identify your animals with basic information like tag numbers, stud registration numbers, date of birth, breed, parents and purchase dates. You can trace their weight, health, vaccination schedules, reproduction, breeding as well as disposal; these can be enhanced by notifications sent straight to your device through your local mobile network provider or email.

You can keep inventory and financial records such as income, expenditure, assets, debtors and creditors, which can be analysed to generate reports and financial statements.

We currently have the Botswana Beef Cattle and Small Stock Record books available for sale. All books are designed to comprehensively record all basic information necessary for rearing for meat production. They are easy to use with, indicators for all terms that may be difficult to understand for any layman. They have been categorised by quantity to cater for all farmers be it subsistence - small or medium scale or commercial – large scale. With the Livestock record books you can keep records of up to 20, 50 or 100 animals in each book that suits you. For each animal you can easily identify your animals with basic information like tag numbers, stud registration numbers, date of birth, breed, parents and purchase dates. You can trace their weight, health, vaccination schedules, reproduction, breeding as well as disposal.

We offer tailored training for groups as and when requested. Our training programs are designed to empower farmers with practical skills and knowledge that can be immediately applied to improve livestock production. They are cone over the course of two days, in which participants will engage in interactive sessions focused on livestock record keeping in Botswana. The objectives of each program are tailor-made for each client’s needs.

We pride ourselves in rewarding trainees/participants in our programs with a copy of our livestock record books to encourage them to go and utilise the information they gathered during training. This turnkey offering is unique and very important to our values as iHerd (Pty) Ltd.

Our training is offered physically and virtually.

If the job is too hard or too much, call us. Our experienced and very capable team is always ready to drop by to do the job for you, as and when or on a contractual basis. We understand that sometimes you are too busy to do the actual work of recording your livestock, so we can come to your farm to maintain your records.
